Tim is the Founder and CEO of HealthRate and has over 30 years of experience across healthcare with a focus on risk management, analytics, reimbursement strategies, and software development. 

Prior to starting HealthRate, Tim successfully led the formation and operations of several public and private companies, worked as a strategic advisor to prominent healthcare organizations, and served on multiple governance boards.

He has extensive experience in operations, product development, risk management, and information technology

Jeff Sage
Chief Product Officer and Lead Contract Coordinator

Jeff is a co-founder and focuses on product development, technology strategy and platform sufficiency.

Prior to HealthRate, Jeff served in management consulting roles over 25 years at PwC, PA Consulting and Accenture, working with payers and providers across the US, Mexico, UAE, UK and New Zealand Ministry of Health.

Earlier in his career, Jeff served in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, supporting global operations, intelligence and the multi-country watch floor.

Tom Sherrard
Executive Vice President, Sales & Market Development

‍Tom is responsible for leading new client acquisition, market expansion, and client engagement efforts to drive growth and build long-term relationships. With more than 15 years of experience in product, sales, operations, and client management, Tom has worked extensively with payers, providers, and risk-bearing organizations to bring innovative products and services to market that deliver measurable results.

Prior to joining HealthRate, he held executive leadership roles guiding health plans, provider networks, and healthcare technology companies through product launches, market entry, and operational transformation.

His work includes structuring value-based care arrangements, developing and managing new products, building provider network strategies, and advising on complex reimbursement models.

Tom has expertise in translating market needs into actionable product and growth strategies, bridging gaps between business development, product strategy, IT, and operational execution.

William Cappechi
‍Vice President, Engineering

‍William leads engineering strategy and technical execution at HealthRate, overseeing platform architecture, infrastructure, and the development of scalable analytics systems that power the company’s products.

He brings a multidisciplinary background spanning scientific research, advanced modeling, and software development. William earned his Ph.D. in plasma physics and has led federally funded research initiatives, managing cross-institution collaborations and complex computational programs. His work has focused on simulation design, diagnostic system development, large-scale data analysis, and high-performance computing.

Prior to joining HealthRate, William held senior engineering roles in industry and academia, where he built and deployed advanced modeling tools, led cross-functional technical teams, and managed multi-million-dollar research programs.
